Having a healthy lifestyle is what everyone is trying to do in order to live longer in this modern time. With all the stresses, diseases and other threats to life, your strongest weapons are learning, awareness and taking action. Nobody else will take good care of your health if you don't so start having a healthy lifestyle now.

You can do that by eating a balanced diet and always committing yourself to proper nutrition. Less fats, less sugar, less junk foods, more fruits, more vegetables, more fiber, such things should be on your diet if you want to be strong and fit. Watching carefully what you eat and drink is no easy task. You will be tempted to break the rule. But if you are serious about your health, you will be able to fight the urge to do the opposite of what you need to do.

Also, avoid drinking too much alcohol and smoking. They will bring nothing but destruction to your body especially when taken in excess amounts. Instead, engage yourself with healthy activities like sports and other recreations. You can also try signing up with a fitness program in your chosen training center. Setting up your own home gym is another option if you have the resources.

Whatever way you have in mind, it should involve even the most simple exercise. You can start by walking and running around your area or using a treadmill. With treadmills, you have the option whether to go for the electric type or settle with the manual ones. You are also given the opportunity to check, review and choose from different brands and models of treadmills today based on your own set of criteria or requirements.

Some known treadmill brands for sale that you may want to check out include those of Cadence, Body Break, Weslo, Lifestyler and others. Some models are quite cheap but most cost slightly higher especially the motorized ones. Nonetheless, you can still find some affordable models out there that are right for your budget. If you really are going for the cheapest one, make sure you don't compromise quality and performance over price.

Aside from the cost involved, another important thing to consider if you are planning to purchase a treadmill is to determine which one suits your needs best and how are they compared to the actual experience of running outside. You will be able to answer that when you weigh the pros and cons of the electric and non electric type of treadmill as well as outdoor running.

For manual treadmills, the benefits mostly involve cost, weight, space and storage. They are quite cheap and affordable. They are not that huge so they don't take up a lot of space in your room and they can be stored away easily too. However, treadmills of this type has a weight limit for its users and the said machine is known to be hard on the joints.

Other not-so-good features of manual treadmills involve unsteady models, low calorie count and the hassle that comes when adjusting the incline. You won't be worrying about those things if you choose electric treadmills. Plus, there are better features like more workout programs and added monitoring devices with electric treadmills. The cons, however, include being expensive, being hard to maintain and fix, hard to dispose and difficult to carry or store away.

For outdoor running, the biggest advantage would be the opportunity to run outside, breathe the fresh air, commune with nature, see different views, bump into various people, etc. But all of that is crushed once bad weather comes along. So you might end up doing indoor exercise with your treadmill after all.
